Seems like the combination of people on vacation, potential seats pretty high
up and costly (they’ve sold over 55,000 tickets for the game so far), plus the
chance that David Beckham may not play, the formal tailgating is being
cancelled.
However, for those people who might want to spend a nice Saturday afternoon at
the Meadowlands parking lot for a no-ticket tailgate, pending good weather, Greg
Cimbolic and I will be there from around 2:30 till 5:50/6 in a pre game get
together. I think parking is $10, so you might want to hook up at one of the
area restaurants or hotel parking lots without someone else who might be going
and come in together.
Depending on the numbers, we will let you know cost (probably $10-$15 including
refreshments) and the menu will be finalized as the week progresses.. So on one
of the last few Saturdays of the summer, if the weather is nice and you don’t
want to buck the shore traffic, what better place and company that the
Meadowlands parking lot.
