Annual Family Ice Skating Event

What better way for family fun on a cold, wintry day than to go ice skating?

Too cold to go ice skating? Not when the fun affair is held at Bayonne High School Indoor Rink!

Since 2003 FOCA Chapter #97 in Bayonne, New Jersey has successfully hosted such an event. Extending the invitation to Orthodox parishes outside of the OCA, the numbers have grown from 40 in 2003 to 90 in 2008, with skaters ranging in age from 4 to over 40. This year on Sunday, February 24^th, OCA, Carpathian, and Patriarchal parishes from South River, Rahway, Jersey City, Passaic, and Long Island, NY joined Bayonne for this day of fun and fellowship.

Traveling all the way from St. Tikhon’s Monastery, members of the Burgess Family were special guests, familiar to Bayonne and Jersey City through the "Adopt A Seminarian" program.

A wonderful hot buffet social followed at Sts. Peter and Paul Church Hall with all participants eagerly looking forward to next year.
